I think that the story of Elie was more interesting than statistics. I actually understand better in his palce then if I wre to put my shoes in thousands of people. I think “sometimes its easier said than done” for example if you were watching people getting beat up you might just be laughing but if you were in the situation I don’t think you would be laughing.
With Elie the situation between life and death must be dreadful. I am thinking that he must be going crazy because of his age. But after so much experience in a near death experience you wouldn’t have much fear. Because the fear is fearing, but if you stand up to it, you will conquer that fear.
The reason why the book was so effect was because, the book comes from a human prospective of a child. As a child you have more fear in things because you don’t have that experience of an adult. From that we can actually feel what the most frightening thing is. It convinces us how bad it was from a childs prospective. The child mind is so delicate and we are exploring what happens. As he grows into an adult you as a reader start to have a little less tension. You feel you are him growing up and when you are an adult you fear , less.
